WTKR Channel 3 did a report to determine which court in the Hampton Roads area had the toughest traffic judges. The answer: Virginia Beach. This may come as a surprise to the general public, but not for me as I am in the Virginia Beach traffic courts so often and seen first hand how strict the judges can be. In the report a defendant, a paramedic and national guardsman, going 85 miles an hour was given 10 days of active jail time. Just as bad, a conviction by itself results in a permanent criminal conviction that will never go away .
